Merry Christmas and Happy New year, everyone! Print available.

This is certainly different from my usual style and theme of work, but I was again inspired to do something dark and abstract like my previous "I do not know why" piece. I do have a couple more drawings like these in my sketchbook and hopefully I get to polish them all and make a whole series on this theme.
Print available.

Last June 1-15, 2010, Ang InK had a mini-exhibit at Gallery 7, Eastwood Mall. The theme was to draw yourself at age seven, which was a lot of fun. I was so into ponies and unicorns then, I drew them all the time!

My entry for this year's annual INK exhibit. I illustrated a part of a story, "Anghel ng Kuwento" (Angel of Stories), written by the late children's writer, Rene O. Villanueva. It is about angels who give inspiration to children through imagination and stories. I drew this sometime in September, and the exhibit ran for two weeks in November.

New artwork for INK! This time the theme I got was "EDSA Revolution" which I found a bit challenging at first, but now I'm glad it turned out pretty good! This was published yesterday (March 2, 2009) in the Manila Bulletin.

Some illustration work I did for K-zone's "Did You Know" column for February. These were so much fun to draw! I liked the Llama one so much that I made it into wallpaper size (1024x768) for everyone.

Just a little something I drew to celebrate the new year. I love watching fireworks! They're just so... mesmerizing.
Happy New Year! 新年快乐!
I did some work over the holidays for Haribon's column in Manila Times. Haribon is an environmental organization and currently Ang INK has a tie-up with them. My work came out in the December 30, 2008 issue. Some of the birds I drew are endangered species like the Philippine Cockatoo. I did some research and I never knew that the Philippines has so many endemic birds (which is something to be proud of though sadly a lot of them are endangered). Since I live in the city, the only birds I often see are Maya birds, so working on this artwork was pretty interesting and educational for me.
Here is my entry for TSUBIBO!, Ink's 17th annual exhibit held last October 28, 2008 at the Shangrila Mall. The theme was about the circus / carnival, and I wanted to be different so I went with a Chinese-inspired theme. I've seen a few acrobat shows when I lived in China for a year, and they were really amazing! This painting has been sold during the exhibit, so all I can show is this photograph (taken by my cousin while it was still on display).
New layout! I was aiming for a colorful-minimalistic, relaxing yet sorta warm feel, if that makes any sense. I'm quite glad how this came out. Big thanks to God for the inspiration, sir Noel for the web hosting, and everyone I've bugged about the website. Haha. Thanks for visiting! :D
